Propagation Model Tuning
AEC recognizes that a tuned propagation model is the key to an efficient and effective RF network design. A calibrated model helps to estimate the coverage within a few decibels of average error margin and increase the reliability on the planning tools for radio planning, frequency planning and optimization.
Model calibration is based on collection of Carrier Wave (CW) measurements and the calibration of radio propagation models to be used in conjunction with ASSET, Radio Planning tool. The CW measurement and Model Tuning will be performed on the GSM 900 band, GSM 1800 band and 2100 band or WiMax band for Macro and Micro cell model. Each propagation model type will require vehicle based CW measurements to be collected from different test transmitter locations.
